The ‘Ninjas’ have helped raise over £5000 for 16-year-old Blake Ward, who died at Alder Hey Hospital after a major sea rescue in Tywyn.
The mysterious group led by Jason Manford has been secretly raising thousands of pounds overnight to help pay for the teenagers wake and raise money for the Air Ambulance.
Before the Ninjas got involved, the total on the GoFundMe page was at £1860, with the total now exceeding the target at £5,293.
In a post on the GoFundMe page Libbie Sullivan said:
“hiya, thank you all for your lovely comments and donations me and Steph are over the moon he really was loved by so many people. As some are now aware Blake’s funeral is being paid for by Liverpool Alder Hay children’s hospital.
“This now means the donations everyone has put will be used for Blake’s wake, the funeral tops for his close family and friends.
“Any money left over once that has been paid will be donated towards sea search and rescue, air ambulance charity and hopefully a bit to get more lifeguards and coastguards around our beaches.
“Please if anybody has an issue with this don’t hesitate to message me.
Manford, posted the status last night which went viral with his 1.3 million followers, he has since removed the status.
