Extra fire crews from stations around the area have been called back to the mountain near Llangollen today, as the fire flares up again.
The fire started around 2 weeks ago, during one of the hottest and driest periods on record.
Via social media North Wales Fire Service said: “4 crews dealing with hotspots & fire around Berwyn quarry area. Horseshoe Pass Road CLOSED Llantysilio Village to Ponderosa cafe both directions. KEEP AWAY from Mountain. Crews working in difficult circumstances”
The flames, which are close to the Horseshoe Pass road have began working their way through the dry peat and acres of dry grass.
It is also causing problems for the thousands of bikers who have attended this weekend’s Llan Bike Fest in the area, with many bikers hoping to use the road to get home.
North Wales Fire Service are urging people to stay away from the mountain at this time.
