An Aldi store in Rhyl has issued a notice to customers, stating that they must not enter the store shirtless, due to ‘hygiene reasons’.
It comes after record breaking weather for North Wales over the past few weeks, with the mercury reaching over 35c.
Fears that sweat and bodily fluids could contaminate produce in the store, creating a hygiene risk. The notice comes as store managers notice an increase in men entering the store shirtless and scantly clad women, and has led to them enforcing a ban.
The notice, clearly displayed in the doorway of the Wellington Road store in Rhyl, says:
“For hygiene reasons, we respectfully request that all customers keep their shirts on whilst in the store during the hot weather.
“Thank you for your co-operation and enjoy the sun!”
