Retail Giant, Marks and Spencer, has today confirmed the closure date for one of its Llandudno stores.
M&S management have said that they remain committed to relocating the stores to Parc Llandudno along with holding a public consultation, which will take place later this year.
Locals have raised concerns about the amount of empty stores left in Llandudno town centre.
M&S said they would first close its satellite store on Mostyn Street, relocating staff and departments to their main store further along Mostyn Street.
Marks and Spencer have now revealed that the closure will happen on Saturday 10th February.
Craig Baldock, M&S Head of Region for North Wales has said “Our menswear and kidswear store on Mostyn Street will close on the 10 February and all colleagues will move to the main store. We remain committed to relocating to Parc Llandudno to offer our customers a bigger and better store and public consultation will take place in the coming months.”
M&S have come under attack, by locals and Mostyn Estates since making the announcement.
It is also understood the retail park has an agreement in place that prevents the opening of food stores at the site.
